What Does the
Christmas Bureau Do?
The Christmas Bureau provides needy families the
opportunity to have presents for their children at
Christmas time. These families are referred to us
through agencies in Dekalb County and then each family
is interviewed individually to determine their
eligibility. Then we get the children's clothing sizes
and interests so we can provide them with the most
appropriate clothing and toys. Our goal is to provide
each child with one or two toys, books, a stuffed
animal, stocking stuffers, and two outfits of clothes,
including socks, underwear, pajamas, and hat, gloves and
a coat if needed. Teens are often given a gift
certificate to pick out their own items.
