If you are a Company, Organization, or Individual wanting to adopt a child or family for Christmas, click on the Sponsor Letter and Form below. Please return the form to the Christmas Bureau Office as soon as possible. We try our best to have your child’s/family information to you by mid-November. Thank You for helping others this holiday season.
PROFESSIONAL REFERRALS
Professional Agents may refer a family to us for assistance. The family must pick up and return their completed application by October 30th.
FAMILY INFORMATION
The DeKalb County Christmas Bureau begins accepting family referrals & applications during September thru the entire month of October.
Applications are available for pick-up or drop-off during our NORMAL business hours: Mon, Tue, Fri 10-5 and Thurs 10-7. The Christmas Bureau OFFICE hours are: Tuesday 2-4 and Thursday 2-6.
The Christmas Bureau door is located on the side of the building by the employee parking. Look for the “Christmas” door. PLEASE KNOCK LOUD. If no answer, enter the Thrift Shop and they will be able to assist you.
Does Your Family Qualify?
- Do you live in DeKalb County Indiana?
- Do you have current photo identification?
- Do your children live with you?
- Do you have Birth Certificates or Identification for your children?
- Are your children under the age of 18? — If 18, are they enrolled full time in high school?
- Have you received Christmas assistance just once the last two years?
- Are you, or another family member, willing to ring-the-bell for the Salvation Army for just 2 hours?
NOTE: All families are asked to ring the bell for the Salvation Army to help raise funds to assist other individuals & families in the upcoming year! — No exceptions.
All family applications must be completed in full and returned to the Christmas Bureau staff for review by October 30th.
